INFORMED CONSENT AND INFORMATION DISCLOSURE TO CLIENTS. Informed consent involves a licensee's reasonable disclosure of information to clients and the discussion of such information with clients so that they are agreeing to course of action with knowledge of the material facts necessary to make a decision. Persons licensed under this chapter shall provide to each client at the beginning and at other appropriate times within the context of professional advice or clinical advice an accurate and informative description that allows the client to make an informed decision about the client's course of action. The specific minimum requirements of a documented record of the disclosure shall be defined in the rules of the board.
